Where Can I Buy A Nugget Ice Machine

Invented through a collaboration between Scotsman and Ice-O-Matic over 35 years ago, the original chewable nugget ice remains one of the most popular ice forms to date. Uniquely shaped and slow to melt, nugget ice is soft, chewable, and a customer favorite for all types of beverages. Because nugget ice dispenses well, blends quickly, and displaces liquid better than any other type of ice, nugget ice machines have become the preferred choice for restaurants, convenience stores, and healthcare applications as well as a clear consumer favorite in the home.
If you've got a taste for soft, chewable ice, our Brilliance nugget ice is the ice for you. This energy and water efficient ice machine produces up to 80 pounds of classic nugget ice in 24 hours. The user-friendly panel makes it easy for the whole family to operate.
Although there are more budget-friendly ice makers, the Newair Countertop Nugget Ice Maker is the only one worth buying. A number of customers who purchased ice makers from other brands such as Euhomy and Frigidaire reported extensive leaking, loud grinding noises, and just overall unpleasant experiences while using (and later returning) the machines.
GE says that the smaller capacity is offset by a faster ice production rate. And although my tests found that this ice dispenser did indeed produce ice faster than the competition (about 24 ounces of ice per hour), I often found myself needing more ice than the bin had available. That's why I recommend this ice maker for commercial settings like an office where it will constantly be used and won't be sitting idle, which results in a bin with melted ice.
For folks who entertain often, have a large family, or just would prefer a machine that yields several pounds of ice each day, I recommend the U-Line HNB315 15-inch nugget ice maker. The unit works as a freestanding unit, or it can be built into your cabinetry. Buyers even have the option of purchasing a model that is panel-ready, so it'll perfectly match your kitchen cabinets. Of course, there's an all stainless steel variant, as well.
The Viking Professional custom-panel ice machine provides up to 80 pounds of chewable, Sonic style, nugget ice in 24 hours and stores up to 26 pounds of ice. A water quality sensor monitors the main ingredient, so ice cubes are always crystal clear, scoop after scoop. The ice slowly melts in the storage bin and drains away, making room for fresh cubes. This process prevents cubes from clumping and sticking together. Only pure water freezes in the inverted copper system, creating completely tasteless and odorless ice. A slow-melting cube shape also ensures undiluted flavor in drinks. This ice machine is great for outdoor use in most weather conditions with the insulated electrical terminals, sealed electrical contacts, and water-resistant thermostat. The LED control panel includes a time to clean alert to ensure optimum operation. The interior also has an LED light for visibility and easy scooping. An interior light enhances visibility and the self-closing door features a 90 degree stop option for easy ice access. Illuminated controls include a check water and time-to-clean alert so you can be sure ice is always available and sparkling fresh. This 15-inch custom panel ice maker does not come with a front, so you can have your appliance match your existing cabinetry or a stainless steel door panel to match other stainless appliances.

Nugget ice is also used to keep salad bars cool when the bowls of lettuce and other vegetables are placed on top of it. The bowls shape molds right into the bed of ice, which creates the perfect temperature for any food that needs to be kept cool. Vegetables stay crisp for long periods of time when they are properly cooled, so it makes sense that restaurants with salad bars would want to keep a nugget ice machine on site.

I am happy for you and jealous about the ice machine. :o) I hope you enjoy it!!! I bought a new refrigerator 2 years ago with a water/ice maker in the door. It crushes ice but I rarely use becuase it becomes clogged then so hard to remove the ice container and clear the ice jam. I am happy for you though.

Since then, the machine has been through a few revisions. As I write this review, I realized that even though I just got my machine in November 2020, the machine has received yet another rather sleek looking revamp.
Many commercial ice machines require a hookup to a water line, much like many built-in refrigerator ice machines. The benefit of the Opal Nugget Ice machine is that it has a detachable reservoir that you can easily fill with water. The machine has a built-in filter, but I still used filtered water, postulating that it would allow me more time to use the machine before having to do a cleaning cycle. Plus, ice, even fancy ice, is only as good as the water used to make it.
As of January 15, 2020, the machine will run you $549. I nabbed a deal on it Black Friday week 2020 and shaved about $100 off the retail price. Even then, the price seems a little obscene when other countertop ice makers hardly scrape $200. Granted, none of those piddly gizmos make the best ice on earth. If you have a serious nugget ice addiction like me, it may be worth the investment.
The Maxx Ice Countertop Nugget Ice Maker produces up to 33 pounds per day of the nugget ice your customers crave. Ideal for adding to fountain beverages, smoothies and mixed drinks, nugget ice is soft, chewable and satisfying. Featuring a sleek, compact design, this nugget ice maker fits easily on your countertop and is ideal for the kitchen, office, lobby, breakroom and any tight space.
On the back of the machine, we see the drain hoses with their plugs installed, in their storage position. You can also see the fan inlet for the cooling system, power cord, and on the lower left, optional water line input.
What this also means is that while I got less than expected in the first four hours, with water already chilling in the machine, the second batch should be a little speedier. Assuming I am right on the ball, adding water and emptying the bin as soon as required, 26 pounds of ice in a day is quite plausible.
The other day, I was looking at a similar unit online. It had a sentence in its write-up that stood out to me. It said that if the unit has been idle for an extended time, make sure it sits upright for at least two hours and then run a self-cleaning cycle prior to making ice. I had let it sit, but I never ran a cleaning cycle and TaoTronics never suggested that. I ran a cleaning cycle. Then, I drained and refilled the unit and fired it up. Much to my surprise, in a few minutes, ice nuggets began to fall! Woo!
We have had ours for almost two years now without any real problems. Ours runs 24/7 and we love the ice that it makes. I run a regular cleaning cycle on it and it seems to help. Yesterday it started making a knocking sound so I ran a cleaning cycle to see if they would help. It is still making ice but it is knocking. Not sure what the problem is or if it is getting ready to give out on us. I hope I can get the problem fixed because we really love this little machine. 59ce067264
